Woman sentenced for illegal use of pepper spray as NT government looks to make laws permanent
A Darwin woman, Danielle Cottle, has been sentenced to a community corrections order for using pepper spray in a nightclub fight during the Northern Territory's 12-month trial of the product. The NT government is considering making the laws permanent after the trial concludes later this year.
The first and only person charged with unlawful use of legally obtained pepper spray during the NT government's trial of the product has been sentenced in Darwin.
