Can We Talk About These Icons?

We are squarely in an era of boring design right now. There is no whimsy, no fun.

Just a downward spiral into bland minimalism and Apple is squarely leading the charge for the whole industry.

Say what you like about Apples skeuomorphism era, but it was at least interesting.

These new icons from Apple are boring, too abstract from the apps function and just uninteresting. Same with the other companies too.
