Alberta's emergency rooms have been labeled 'death zones' by a doctor after six people died while waiting to see a doctor in two weeks. The list, researched by Medicine Hat ER physician Paul Parks, also includes close to 30 'critical near misses' that could easily have resulted in additional deaths. The former president of the Alberta Medical Association explained that the anonymized cases listed 'truly are only the tip of the iceberg as to the immense suffering that is occurring'.
